The Modular Building Systems Association (MBSA) is proud to announce that a modular home show will take place along Mississippi’s Gulf Coast in January 2007. The show is a cooperative effort between the MBSA, the Building Systems Council of the National Association of Home Builders, the Volunteers of America Southeast and the City of Pass Christian, MS.
The home show will feature a variety of modular homes in what is known as “scattered lot development” and will consist of five Professional Days followed by seven Public Days.
These homes are permanently sited and will be turned over to their new owners following the show. The show will commence January 9, 2007 at the Espy Center in Pass Christian, MS with a breakfast and ribbon cutting ceremony from 8am to 10am followed by a bus tour of the show homes from 10am to 5pm.
Through January 13, tours of the show homes will be available from 9am to 4pm to government officials and the media; as well as builders, developers and real estate professionals. From January 14 through January 21, tours of the show homes are available free of charge from 9am to 4pm to the general public.
In conjunction with the home show, Penn College’s Modular Housing Training Institute will also be conducting its popular two day course “Introduction to Site Management for Modular Construction.” This hands-on course will cover site and foundation preparation, an overview of optimal scheduling for your project, the complete modular home set; as well as issues of importance when finishing a modular home.
